We are hiring a Junior UX Researcher in Mumbai for a team working across UX research, Statistics, user research. 0-1 years of experience.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
UX research, Statistics, user research, with product design, Collaboration, system design across the wider stack.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 0-1 years with UX research in a working team.
- Hands-on depth in Statistics, user research, enough to defend a decision you made in each, and name the one you rejected.
- Working familiarity with product design, Collaboration, system design.
- Judgement you can show your working for, and the instinct to ask before assuming. We would rather have that than a memorised process.
- The ability to explain a decision to somebody who did not make it. Every round here includes it.
ALSO EXPECTED
Not the focus of the interview, but part of the job. Teams ask about these, so be ready to talk about them:
- Figma at a working level: components, variants, auto layout, tokens
- Handoff that survives engineering: specs, states, edge cases
- Accessibility to WCAG AA: contrast, target size, focus order
- Enough HTML and CSS to know what you are asking for
- Prototyping, and having watched somebody use one
HOW THE INTERVIEW GOES
Expect to be asked how you would approach a problem in each of the areas above, and why you would not take the obvious route. Then one level down on whichever answer was weakest.
