Lead Product Manager

We are hiring a Lead Product Manager in Pune for a team working across product strategy, Metrics, product management. 7-9 years of experience.

• 7-9 years with product strategy in a working team.
• Hands-on depth in Metrics, product management, enough to defend a decision you made in each, and name the one you rejected.
• Working familiarity with Marketing, Business, system design.
• You have led work across more than one person's remit: setting the direction, holding it, and being answerable when it slipped.
• The ability to explain a decision to somebody who did not make it. Every round here includes it.

Not the focus of the interview, but part of the job. Teams ask about these, so be ready to talk about them:

• SQL, so your numbers do not depend on somebody else's queue
• An analytics tool (Amplitude, Mixpanel or GA4), and funnels you have instrumented
• Experiment design and reading a result honestly, including a flat one
• Writing: a spec, a decision, and the reason you rejected the alternative
• Working with engineering on scope rather than at it

Expect to be asked how you would approach a problem in each of the areas above, and why you would not take the obvious route. Then one level down on whichever answer was weakest.
