Help
Answers to what candidates ask us most. If yours is not here, there is a form at the foot of this page and a person reads it.
Checking on an application?
Sign in with the same email you applied with and open Your applications. Every role you have applied to is listed there with the stage it has reached, and that page is the same record our desk works from.
Your application
I applied. Has anyone looked at it?
Your application is recorded against the role and against your account, and it is not sitting in an inbox nobody opens. To see where it has got to, sign in with the email address you applied with and open Your applications. The stage shown there is the same record our recruiting desk works from, so it is the most current answer we have. If it still says Sent, it has not yet been reviewed.
How long does it usually take to hear something?
A week or two between applying and any movement is normal, and quiet in that window is not a signal about you. Most of the wait is the client’s team reviewing profiles, which runs on their schedule rather than ours. Roles also close for reasons that never reach the candidate. The full sequence, stage by stage, is set out on How hiring works.
What do the stages on my account page mean?
Sent means we have your application and it has not yet been reviewed. Being reviewed means someone here is reading it against what the client asked for. With the hiring team means your profile has gone across for their review. Shortlisted means they want to take you forward, though nothing is booked yet. Technical call with us is a first round we take ourselves for some roles. Interview booked means a time is set, and that is the point at which you are told the company’s name. Closed means the role is no longer open to you.
I have not received a single email from you. Is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong with your application, and it is not in your spam folder. We have deliberately not been sending status emails, because we would rather send nothing than send a message that tells you nothing. Your account page carries the live record in the meantime. Please do check that the email address on your account is one you read, because it is where we will write when there is something worth saying.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes. Apply to every opening that genuinely fits you; applying to several does not weaken any one of them. Each application is reviewed against that specific role, and all of them appear separately on your account page.
Can I update my resume after I have applied?
Yes. Replace it on your account page and the new version is the one used from that point on. If you have already applied and the change is substantial, send us a message using the form at the foot of this page, naming the role, so it is noticed rather than left to be spotted.
Why does the job post describe the company instead of naming it?
Every opening is listed with a description of the employer, such as a US-based fintech client, rather than its name. That is a condition of the relationships that produce the roles: these companies want the right candidates without their hiring plans being public. You are given the name when an interview is actually booked, before you speak to anyone. This is explained in full on How hiring works.
Is this real, and who pays
Will you ever ask me for money to apply, interview or be placed?
No. Not to apply, not to interview, not a registration fee, not a deposit, and not a share of your salary once you start. We are paid by the client company. Fees demanded from candidates are the most common recruitment fraud in India, so please treat any such request as fraudulent whoever appears to be sending it. If someone claiming to represent Tezvyn asks you for money, write to support@tezvyn.com and we will deal with it.
How do I know a message is genuinely from Tezvyn?
Everything we send comes from an address ending in tezvyn.com, and anything about your application is also reflected on your account page on this website. We will never ask you for a payment, a one-time password, your banking details or your card number. If a message asks for any of those, it is not from us. When in doubt, ignore the message and check your account page, or write to support@tezvyn.com from the address on your account.
Who will actually employ me?
Tezvyn is the employer. Your offer letter, your salary and your payslip come from us, and anything to do with pay is between you and us. The work itself is with our client’s team, usually at their office and on their project. What you build, who you report to day to day and which stack you touch is set by that team. How hiring works covers this in more detail.
Who sees my resume and my details?
Your application is shared with the hiring company for the role you applied to, and with the recruitment partners working on that role. That sharing is what applying is for, and you consent to it explicitly on the application form. It is not sold, and it is not sent to companies you did not apply to. What we hold and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy, and you can ask for a copy of your data, or delete your account entirely, at any time.
Signing in and the site
I cannot sign in, or the sign-in button spins forever.
This is almost always because the page has been opened inside another app’s built-in browser, most often LinkedIn’s. Those browsers block the window that Google sign-in needs. The fix is to open the page in your normal browser: tap the menu in the corner of the in-app browser and choose Open in browser, or Open in Chrome, then sign in there. If it still fails in a normal browser, tell us which browser and phone you are using through the form below.
Do I need the app to apply for a job?
No. Everything to do with applying and checking an application works on this website, on a phone or a computer. The Android app is for reading and practice, and it uses the same account, so anything you do in one shows up in the other. There is no iPhone app; on an iPhone this website is the whole product.
Practice and mock interviews
Is the reading free?
Yes. Every card, topic and practice quiz on this website is free to read, and you do not need an account to start. The Android app is free too and shows ads between cards. The only paid thing anywhere is the AI mock interview.
What is the AI mock interview, and what does it cost?
It is a practice interview that asks real questions for your stack, follows up on your answers rather than accepting the first one, and scores them against the same rubric the cards are written from. You can type your answers or speak them. Sessions are sold in packs, as one-off purchases rather than a subscription, so nothing renews on its own. It is practice only. It is entirely separate from applying for a job, and buying it changes nothing about how any application is treated.
Can I get a refund on a pack?
Your first pack is refundable in full within seven days of buying it, no questions asked, to the original payment method. Write to us within those seven days using the form below and include the order reference beginning tz_ from your account page. Packs bought inside the Android app are Google Play purchases, so Google holds that money and those refunds are requested through Google Play. Later packs are refunded at our discretion. The full terms are in section 7 of the Terms.

Use the Help button in the corner of any page, or write to support@tezvyn.com. If it is about a specific role, please name the role and write from the email address you applied with, because that is how we find you.
Your message is saved the moment you send it and a person here reads it. Please do not wait on a reply before applying to anything else that fits you.
