How hiring works

Who employs you

Tezvyn is the employer. Your offer letter, your salary and your payslip come from us. The work itself is with our client’s team, usually at their office, on their project, alongside their engineers.

This is how a large share of engineering hiring in India is structured, and it is worth knowing which parts of it apply to you. Your appointment, your CTC and anything to do with pay is between you and us, and you have one place to raise it. What you build, who you report to day to day and which stack you touch is set by the client team you join.

Why the roles describe the company instead of naming it

Every opening is listed with a description of the employer rather than its name — “US-based fintech client”. That is a condition of the relationships that produce the roles: the companies want the right candidates without their hiring plans being public.

You get the name when an interview is actually booked, before you speak to anybody. Not earlier. Being told a company name and then never hearing again is worse than not being told, because now you know exactly who did not call you.

What happens after you apply

Your application comes to our recruiting desk, not to an inbox nobody opens. We write to you at every step below, including the ones that are a no.

1. 1We read it. Someone here reads your CV against what the client actually asked for. Most of the filtering happens at this step, and it is the step where a role that does not fit you is better caught than passed on.
2. 2It goes to the client. Your profile goes across for their team to review. This is usually where the wait is: a week or two is normal, and silence in that window is not a signal about you.
3. 3Shortlisted. They want to take you forward. Interested, not booked — so there is still no company name at this point.
4. 4A call with our technical team. For some roles we take a first round ourselves, around thirty minutes, before the client’s interview. We ask for your availability rather than assigning you a slot.
5. 5The interview is scheduled. Now you get the company name, the format and the time, with enough notice to prepare for it.
6. 6An answer, either way. If the role closes or you are not taken forward, we write and tell you. Roles close for reasons that never reach the candidate.

You will never pay us anything

Not to apply, not to interview, not a cut of your salary when you are placed. We are paid by the client. If somebody claiming to represent Tezvyn asks you for money, they are not us — write to support@tezvyn.com and we will deal with it.
