Jira now deep-links to six local AI coding tools — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Rovo Dev CLI, and VS Code — auto-filling work item context via Atlassian MCP so agents start informed without copy-paste. Desktop apps open directly with a context-rich prompt, while terminal tools get a one-click copy modal. For engineering teams using Jira, this removes the daily prompt-prep tax and should speed up agent workflows. It is available now in the Development panel on any work item.
